*For a better world

What happened in Littleton or in Kosovo or in other parts of the earth, maybe make you think that we live in a horrible world and that we can't do anything for changing that matter of fact. It may even develop a sense of hate towards humanity.

I would like to share my beliefs on that matter.

I believe that responding to hate with hate will never stop anything but it will only contribute to add some more pressure.

I believe that we build our world with our thoughts. I believe that the "outside world" reflects our "inner world".

How come that kids came to that point of hate and violence...how can we stand and understand that? They are the product of our society, and who builds this society?.....WE are the builders!!!

Oh yes I hear some of you saying....it's their parents' fault...but aren't those parents a mirror of ourselves sometimes? They just reflect our lack of care...our indefference...our sense of weakness. They were probably more concerned about their struggle for life in that world based on competition and success. Of course they are responsible...we are ALL responsible. These kids have been doing what we are doing to our own inner child.

I can feel a lot of sorrow and compassion for those parents as well as for the parents of the kids who have been murdered. I think that it is the worst experience that people may live in one life, from both sides.

For the ones who have died, I believe that they passed through the mirror and that they continue to live on another plane. Yes I believe in a life after the death.

If we want to stop the hate...let's begin to love ourselves much more....if we want to stop the war...let's make peace with ourselves. If we want to build a better world...let's start in our OWN life.

Let me share the beautiful poem below with you too. It reflects exactly my own feelings

For Littleton, for Kosovo, for All...

A child is born,
and we think, joyously,
maybe she'll be a doctor
or an astronaut,
maybe he'll be a artist
or a wise teacher,
or an infinity of other choices.

And we pray -
Let them live. Let them grow.
Let them be happy.

The world shines with possibility.
All that life,
so much potential, so much hope.

We do not think
of blood spilled in school corridors
of terror by day,
or horrible loss by nightfall
of lifeless arms still reaching,
of faces blown away.
Though in our worst nightmares
we fear these things.

Homicide, genocide, atrocities -
we do not willingly think of these things
at a birth day.

Then, somewhere, it happens.
And anywhere these days is too close to home.
There is no safe hiding place.

Take these people to your heart, oh world.
The young friends mourning classmates
gunned down beside them.
The parents mourning a loss so deep
that only the others
facing such same loss can fully know,
though even people half the world away
can feel the wrenching intensity.

The world is the less with each one murdered.
Be it East Timor, Guatemala, Iraq, Africa,
Kosovo, Ireland, Dunblane in Britain,
Littleton in Colorado,
the house next door...
We pray it not be our house.
Yet some times it is.

And always, each time, it is our world.
Everywhere is next door, people.

Tell your loved ones
that you love them
tell them often.
Tell them now,
while you can.

So if death is suddenly among us, you know they knew.

Love, nurturance, kindness, compassion
these are the gifts
we can take with us
when we are sent beyond this life.

Share these.
Grieve the losses.
Work for change.

We cannot change that they have died.
Yet we can take action
make it different next time
for the next children and families.

Honor the good of who they were
let it be a flame in the heart
burning for change.

Make necessary worthy effort
against the horrors.

And also Do one act of kindness
daily
seek out others also doing
add together
For together we are stronger
than alone.
